TAITRA – Planning & Finance Department

Transformed TAITRA’s traditional static annual newsletter into a modular, easy-to-maintain website that significantly improved content production efficiency and reduced maintenance time.

Brand Story

TAITRA, Taiwan’s most influential organization for promoting external trade, supports thousands of local SMEs through global exhibitions, business matchmaking, and international trade initiatives. Each year, the Planning & Finance Department publishes a comprehensive annual highlight newsletter to showcase key achievements.

However, the past process—producing static newsletters was time-consuming and inflexible. Any content revision required recreating the entire file, making updates inefficient and preventing the organization from adapting the design to different annual themes. TAITRA needed a modern, dynamic way to present its yearly accomplishments.

With this goal, TAITRA partnered with Hububble to transition from static newsletters to a fully modular, visually engaging, and future-scalable website built on HubSpot CMS.

Identifying Problem

Before implementing HubSpot, TAITRA relied heavily to design and publish its yearly newsletter. While visually appealing, the workflow was rigid: even minor text or image changes required re-exporting or redesigning the entire file. As a result, producing just one version of the newsletter took nearly 2–3 months, placing pressure on internal teams and slowing communication with stakeholders.

TAITRA also expressed concerns about layout diversity. They wanted to ensure that each year’s presentation felt fresh and distinctive. With Adobe, there was no efficient way to maintain consistency while also creating variation. The team was worried that without enough layout options, the annual website might look repetitive.

Another challenge centered on color themes. Because each year carries its own focus and story, TAITRA wanted the flexibility to update color schemes quickly. However, traditional design tools made color updates time-consuming, often requiring large-scale redesigns.

Additionally, the content structure of TAITRA’s newsletter typically involves multiple image-and-text combinations with several external links. Using a fixed page layout risked making the website feel static and uninspiring. TAITRA needed a layout that allowed each section to feel dynamic and visually engaging.

Our Solution

Custom Annual Module Library

We designed a complete library of modular layouts—including overlapping cards, sectioned visual designs, and interactive card components—allowing TAITRA to freely mix and match these elements based on each year’s theme. This flexibility prevents the annual content from looking repetitive, while ensuring that every module can be easily updated through the backend without manual redesign, significantly reducing production workload.

Annual Theme-Based Color System

To support TAITRA’s yearly visual transformations, we created a switchable theme color system aligned with each year’s narrative focus. By establishing global color variables within the CMS, the team can update the entire site’s palette quickly and consistently. With just a simple color update each year, TAITRA can present a fresh visual identity without rebuilding the website.

Enhanced Editing Workflow & Maintenance Efficiency

We transformed TAITRA’s previously lengthy 2–3 month newsletter production cycle into an efficient, CMS-driven workflow that can be completed directly from the backend. Manual adjustments and repetitive formatting tasks were automated, and HubSpot’s built-in review, version control, and reusable modules further streamlined collaboration, significantly improving long-term maintenance efficiency.

Summary

TAITRA’s previous process though visually polished, lacked the flexibility required to support evolving annual themes and internal workflow needs. Through HubSpot CMS and Hububble’s custom modular development, TAITRA now maintains a fully scalable platform that evolves each year without requiring redesign from scratch.

The modular architecture empowers TAITRA teams to make updates independently, significantly reducing reliance on design tools or manual work. Content is published faster, collaboration flows more smoothly, and the visual identity remains consistent yet flexible.
